COURSE
A world renowned Olympic Distance course that has had athletes such as Dave Scott, Allison Roe, Scott Tinley and John Howard as past competitors.
Held at pristine Long Beach in Sag Harbor. Wonderful 1.5K swim in Noyac Bay, followed by a rolling scenic 23.8 mile bike tour of the Hamptons and finishing with a very accurate and fast flat 10K run through the quiet scenic streets of North Haven.
SWIM-1.5 Kilometers (.93 mile)
Out and back along the shore in Noyac Bay. Water temperature is in the high 60’s.
BIKE- 23.8 Miles
Rolling hills
RUN-10 Kilometers (6.2 miles)
A flat course. Water stops will be at every 1.5 mile.
TRANSITION AREA
Athletes only in the transition area. The transition area opens at 5:00 AM and will be closed from the start of the race, 6:40 AM, until the last athlete goes out on the run course (aprroximately 10:15 AM). If there are any problems with athletes not adhering to the rules in regards to transition area, EventPower has the right to disqualify the athlete.

All participants must pick up their own packet. ALL relay teams must pick up their packet together! No Exceptions!
NOTE:
A photo ID is required for packet pick up. All participants must pick up their own race packet, including ALL relay team members. The Mighty Hamptons is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event. All athletes must have a valid USAT Card. If you do not have one or do not bring it with you to packet pick up, then you must purchase a one day card at packet pick up for $10.
RACE START
The first wave goes off at 6:40 AM. Waves will be posted at packet pick-up.
CUT-OFF TIMES
Swim – 70 minutes from start of your wave Bike – 3 hours and 10 minutes from start of race Run – 5 hours from start of race
AWARDS
Top three overall Male & Female Top three Athena & Clydesdale Top three Mixed, Female, Male Relays Top three Challenged Men & Challenged Women Individual Age groups; top three in each category. 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Following Race: Post race lunch, Awards Ceremony and Raffle. All athletes receive a raffle ticket at the ceremony. Athletes are encouraged to stay for the awards or have someone pick up their award. Awards will only be shipped post event if a pre paid postage envelope for 2 pounds is sent to the race organization within one week of the event.
USAT RULES
All participants in events sanctioned by USA Triathlon must be members of USA Triathlon and be able to present a valid annual membership card or must purchase a USA Triathlon single event permit. All age group athletes must participate and compete in the age group division corresponding to the athlete’s age on December 31 of the year of the event.

REFUNDS AND TRANSFER POLICIES
A 50% refund will be available until February 1. NO REFUNDS after February 1st Registrations may not be transferred to another person. Registrations may not be transferred to another race.

RACE DAY
Arrive at race site on Sunday, September 12 by 5:45 AM to set up your bike and get body marked.
PARKING
Park in designated lots A or B on race morning. Do not park on Long Beach Road, this will interfere with the bikers on course.

REMINDERS
• NO HEADPHONES DURING ANY PART OF THE EVENT or you will be disqualified. • No helmet, no race. • Helmet strap must be fastened before taking bike from rack and remain fastened until after bike is replaced. • No Drafting! Leave three bike lengths unless passing. Stay to your extreme right unless passing. • Bike number must be on bike and shall not be removed until your bike is out of the transition area after the race. • Run number must be on front of body during entire run! • Any unsportsmanlike behavior to other competitors and/or event staff will be dealt with by an immediate disqualification. • RACE IS RAIN OR SHINE
